24/06/08 - £32 million!!!!

Adebayor, £32 million!!! You’re having a bubble aren’t ya…He might have scored a hat full of goals this season but only one of them was decent and I don’t think he even knew about the others! Wenger should take any offer above £20 million for a player who will only improve by a marginal fraction, if at all. With all that money he could by a player with twice the potential, for example David Silva who would not only improve vastly under Wengers guidance but also add to the team in an attacking sense and take over the mantle from Hleb who is likely to be on his way in the near future. Plus Wenger already has the perfect replacement waiting in the wings in Carlos Vela who is an outstanding prospect and could well be the next cult hero at the Arsenal thanks to his flair creativity and goals.

21/06/08 - Big Phil

One thing I have never understood is the British media naming Luis Felipe Scolari ‘Big Phil’! One he is not called Phil, or anything that’s sounds remotely like Phil, even his middle name which is Felipe is pronounced in a way that sounds nothing like Phil! Another thing is he is not that big, unless they are referring to his belly which is quite sizeable. He stands at only 5’11, and in terms of height I’m sure that isn’t at the higher end of the scale, although he might be taller than your average Brazilian, they are not a nation known for their height and in comparison to the rest of the world 5’11 really isn’t that big!

He does however have a reputation for enjoying a scuffle, his previous exploits include, Ivica Dragutinovic (Serbian football player)

Naturally the press will continue to call him “Big Phil”

20/06/08 - Ronaldo

Onto Cristiano Ronaldo, Does this kid have any idea of loyalty or commitment? I think not considering his public mockery of Man Utd in the press. He has supposedly kept quiet about the matter but in reality it has been the most obvious and well documented flirtations from a player I have ever seen.

It has been reported that he had even agreed with Real Madrid officials his wage package some time ago before the transfer was even bought to light by the media which I think is disgusting! If the player really did want to move he should have sat down with Ferguson and told him his intentions instead dragging names through the mud and ridiculing the team and manager that have done so much for him and made him the player he is today.

17/06/08 - Flamini

Flamini, is an average player at best and was picked from obscurity by the talent scouting God that is Arsene Wenger. So for him to leave Arsenal for a better wage packet for an aging Milan side, which play in an inferior, slow paced bore of a league is beyond me? I can’t see why players today have no loyalty! the fact that Flamini was terrible to say the least when he first joined Arsenal but still Arsene took him under his wing and moulded him into the player he is today, for him to say Au revoir and pack his bags for Milan makes my blood boil as I cant even see him making the bench with the calibre of midfield players Miulan possess for instance; Kaka, Pirlo, Gattuso, Ambrosini and Seedorf all playing in his position. I think Milan have done what Chelsea did with Sidwell and have taken him  on a free and will reap the benefits by selling him for a sizeable profit come the January transfer window or maybe if he lasts that long next summer.
