Euro 2008 - Group B

Review

Group B could go two ways in my view. Either Germany or Croatia will win the group and or come in second, or there could be a major upset and either Poland or Austria could make the knock out stages.

Germany might as well have a home advantage as they border both Austria and Switzerland and their squad is looking great.

Croatia has the best team they have ever assembled in my eyes with the likes of Modric and Krancjar causing havoc down the flanks.

Poland look solid but don’t really have enough flair and guile within the ranks to really push for the 1st and 2nd places in my view.

Austria do have the home advantage but to tell the truth their squad is not fit to play at a major tournament of this stature and the only reason they qualified is because they are co hosts.

Overall if Germany and/or Croatia don’t get through it can only be their own faults.
